Hello dear reader, My name is John Dougherty and this is my blog about wandering, with backpacks and friends. We usually set out to find some odd plants or mushrooms and hike some amazing trails. After 2010 a year where I went on no hikes, although i spent a lot of time outdoors, I have decided to make 2011 a great year for outdoors. I will present my future outdoor adventures here and do my best to catalog my previous adventures. I hope to find a creative way to archive nature sightings, party members, distance, equipment, food brought, species identified, pictures, body condition, etc. I hope this will be a great record for my own aid and a helpful resource for anyone else planning a trip.
